I’ve always enjoyed Roseanna White’s books, and this one was no exception. Once I did that, I was able to get immersed in the present story, which was intriguing and so beautifully done. I finally decided to speed-read when I hit these sections. The lack of knowledge about what had transpired in the earlier books also plagued me for about the first third of this book. It didn’t take long to realize that if I had read the first two books in the series, I would be much less confused. A summary of the cast of characters at the beginning of the book would have helped. But it was entirely too many people to keep straight. During the first twenty pages, a large supporting cast flows in-some come on the scene, others are merely mentioned. In the opening pages, we meet Lady Emily Scofield and Bram Sinclair, Earl of Telford, the main characters. The prologue introduces Elizabeth Mucknell and-by way of her inner thoughts-her husband, John. Roseanna White’s Worthy of Legend is the third and final book in her Secrets of the Isles series.
